Laurie Callaway is a Certified Garden Designer practicing in Palo Alto and the Peninsula. She first gained her love of the gardens of England while on
business trips with Amdahl, Sun and Intel. It was during her first visit to Sissinghurst in 1984, that she dreamed of one day designing gardens herself. While working full time, she began U.C. Berkeley's Garden Design program in 1992 and graduated in 1996. She began her garden design practice in March of 1998 and has enjoyed all aspects of the business from working outdoors to helping create her client's dream gardens. Laurie is a former instructor in the UC Berkeley Extension program and taught courses entitled 'Growing a Landscaping Business' and 'Paths and Patios.'
Laurie gained her tour management experience as a Sales Training Manager while at Intel. She project-managed major sales conferences and training classes throughout the US and Europe.

Her garden design practice specializes in creating 'Four Season' gardens for her clients; a garden that has leaf and bloom interest throughout the year. She also enjoys designing perennial border gardens and rose gardens. Laurie is a Certified member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).
