Our first garden today is Snowshill Manor, situated in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Snowshill. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful villages in England, the garden is picture perfect and the attractive house, dating from the 16th Century, has been beautifully restored.

A view of the house from the vegetable garden.

The path along the border at Snowshill was wonderful. Everything was in bloom and so fragrant!

After lunch at Snowshill, we'll travel to Kiftsgate situated on the edge of an escarpment with beautiful views of the Vale of Evesham.

Mrs. J.B. Muir bought Kiftsgate in 1917 and began making the garden what it is today. Known as a plant lover all around England, Heather Muir was among the pioneer discoverers of shrub roses. Among them is the celebrated Rosa filipes'Kiftsgate', a lovely rambling rose of irrepressible vigor.

The perennials and mixed borders are also examples of the best of English garden style.
