This morning we'll visit Sudley Castle garden located near the village of Winchcombe. The past home of Catherine Parr, Sixth Wife of Henry the VIII, is now known for its collection of antique roses in the Queen's Garden. The garden was commissioned by the current owner, Lady Ashcombe and designed by Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall and is best known for its collection of French and old roses which are supplanted with perennials and herbs. I am particularly fond of Rosa 'Napoleon's Chapeau.'

After lunch at the lovely Westly House in Winchombe, we're off for some sightseeing and antique shopping in the picturesque villages of Broadway and Burfurd.
